TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- Gil
Lusk was elected to the Sahuarita Town Council on Tuesday night in a runoff
election.
The
retired National Parks superintendent received 2,309 votes (62 percent) in
defeating Raytheon engineer Joshua Matthews, 1,389 votes (37 percent).
Lusk, 69, previously has served one
year on the Sahuarita council.
Matthews, 35, was a former Sahuarita
councilman (2012-2013). He also served on the
Sahuarita Board of Adjustments (2007-2012) and on the Town Manager's Effluent
Policy Committee (2010).
