Community needs, solutions vie for spot in future County bond package

The following is a news release about bond issues from Pima County:

When the community was asked to identify priorities to take to voters in a potential November 2014 Pima County bond election, the result was approximately $1.3 billion worth of projects.

A future bond election will have capacity for about half that.

La Paloma Academy-South hosts Enroll-A-Thon June 15

La Paloma Academy-South, the newest campus of Southern Arizona’s fastest-growing and largest charter school system, invites families to a free, fun Saturday afternoon Enroll-a-Thon on Saturday, June 15, starting at 11 a.m., at 5660 S. 12th Ave. near Drexel Road.

Free food, fun and games will be on hand for children, allowing parents time to tour the school, chat with school staff and learn about La Paloma Academy’s tuition-free private school environment.

La Posada summer concerts to benefit local Food Bank

A wide variety of music, cool treats and a chance to support the Green Valley/Sahuarita Food Bank all come together in the courtyard of The Shoppes at La Posada for six Friday nights beginning July 12. Each concert begins at 6 p.m.
