PACC offering $13 adoption fee for July | Events
In honor of the courage of the 13 original colonies that led to Independence, Pima Animal Care Center is dropping its adoption fees to $13 for the whole month for many of the pets waiting for new homes.
The special rate will apply to adult cats and to all of their dogs that are 40 pounds or more.
All other pets will be $50, which is still a great deal considering all animals leave with vaccinations, microchips and spay/neuter surgery.
There is one caveat. For a two-hour window on July 4 itself, the adoption center will be open! The adoption fee for every single animal, no matter size or age, will be $13 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Keep in mind that the Fourth of July, with all of its whines and booms and hisses, can be a stressful time for animals.
Please secure pets in his/her familiar surroundings. But if a pet happens to get lost, please be sure to check with the shelter at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, as well as with the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd.
Also please check online at http://www.petharbor.com and http://www.found-pets.org/ , which are clearinghouses for found pets throughout Pima County, compiling lists from shelters and the general community.
