Multiple accidents slowed travel on I-19 this morning | News
Rural/Metro is reporting that three separate accidents affected travel on I-19 this morning.
The first accident, according to Rural/Metro, was a vehicle rollover near the kilometer 82 area. When crews arrived they found a single vehicle rollover, with one occupant injured. The injured person was transported to a local Tucson hospital for treatment.
According to Rural/Metro, a second accident requiring their help, had occurred just 300 feet north of the first one. With assistance from Tohono O’odham Fire the first rollover accident was secured and the second started.
The second accident involved two vehicles, in the southbound lanes. Two people required some medical assistance. The first patient was treated by personnel on scene and then transported via Southwest Ambulance for further treatment; a second patient was also treated on scene, but refused a trip to the hospital stating they were not injured.
While cleaning up the second accident scene, a third accident occurred. This one in the northbound side of I-19, emergency crews said there were no injuries reported.
