La Paloma Academy-South hosts Enroll-A-Thon June 15

La Paloma Academy-South, the newest campus of Southern Arizona’s fastest-growing and largest charter school system, invites families to a free, fun Saturday afternoon Enroll-a-Thon on Saturday, June 15, starting at 11 a.m., at 5660 S. 12th Ave. near Drexel Road.

School districts providing free summer food programs

Several school districts in Tucson and surrounding communities are offering free summer meal programs at their schools.  Many students who rely on school lunches would go hungry without these vital summer programs.  

If there is not a school close to your area serving these free meals, parents can click on the following website http://www.azsummerfood.gov/food-site-locations and put in your zip code to see what sites closest to you are serving.

Nearly 300 PCC Adult Education students graduate tonight

This evening nearly 300 women and men will be graduating from PCC’s Adult Education program, and the public is invited to attend and cheer the graduates on.

Among those graduating will be Maria ‘Rosario’ Messina, this is 36 years after she
